Choice of materials: EPS and epoxy resin for lightweight, robust surfing

The PRISM SURFBOARDS range is dedicated to surfers who want a simple surfboard that is both lightweight and robust.

Our key features include lightness for more fun, sturdiness and responsiveness. We've opted for a tried-and-tested construction that's both robust and high-performance: epoxy resin around a strong, flexible, high-density EPS core. The central batten is made of weight-saving PVC for models under 7', and wood for models over 7'. We use 2 layers of fiber (6 and 4 Oz), in crossed fiberglass (biaxial), offering excellent strength and responsiveness. An additional layer of protection located only on the deck reinforces the board without weighing it down.
