About the 9’4 Tri Fin US BOX Longboard
The new 9’4 epoxy Prism Surfboards longboard will offer you absolute comfort in soft, flat summer swells. With more volume than the 9’1 longboard, this new 9’4 longboard will be the perfect weapon for noseriding and gliding with ease. With its outline and rocker, it will still be very versatile. You will be able to push this longboard in conditions up to 1.50m!
Who is the 9’4 longboard suitable for?
This longboard is suitable for all types of surfers, whether you are a beginner or an experienced, small or large, light or heavy. Very versatile, it will allow you to have fun despite small conditions. However, this 9’4 longboard will allow larger body types to take more pleasure in this type of conditions. The implementation of our board’s lamination benefits from a rigorous specifications to achieve more solidity with less weight: • Climate-controlled lamination rooms to ensure the ideal humidity level, for perfect drying (more solidity at equal lamination) • Vacuum lamination with resin evacuation drain: fiberglass needs the right amount of resin for impregnation. Vacuum lamination allows resin to be inserted into the fiber, the excess is evacuated through the drain. Because too much resin equals a heavier board, but above all, less solid because the fiberglass becomes brittle.
Paulownia Eco Wood Concept construction
A new sandwich construction of epoxy and Paulownia wood (very light and resistant) that allows to stiffen the board and ensure better durability of the materials. Paulownia wood, also known as “aluminum wood”, does not absorb water due to its low humidity content, it is very dense and allows for a waterproof lamination under the epoxy coating. Our surfboards in Paulownia are much stronger than classic epoxy surfboards. Paulownia wood also has ecological properties, it grows at a much faster rate than wood usually worked in factories (about 2 cm per day) and absorbs 10 times more CO2 than others. The renewal of the Paulownia forest is extremely fast and promoting the exploitation of this tree will accentuate its planting and expansion in the area, which will allow for greater CO2 absorption in the long term.
