About the Longboard 10'0 Tri Fin US BOX
Discover the new 10'0 epoxy longboard from Prism Surfboards! With its generous volume, it will be the absolute weapon in small waves for noseriding and pure gliding. It will also be more suitable for larger riders compared to the other two longboards in the range, the 9'1 and 9'4. With its outline and rocker, it will remain very versatile. You can push this longboard in conditions up to 1.50m! Its double battens will allow a solidity without equal while remaining light and powerful.
Who is the 10'0 longboard suitable for?
This longboard is suitable for all types of surfers, whether you are a beginner or an experienced surfer, small or big, light or heavy. Very versatile, it will allow you to have fun despite small conditions. However, this 10'0 longboard will allow the biggest sizes to take more pleasure in this type of conditions.
The implementation of the stratification of our boards benefits from a rigorous specification to obtain more solidity with less weight:
- Air-conditioned lamination rooms to guarantee an ideal humidity level, for a perfect drying (more solidity with equal lamination).
- Vacuum lamination with excess resin drain: the fiberglass needs just the right amount of resin for its impregnation. The vacuum allows the resin to enter the fiber, the excess is evacuated by the drain. Because too much resin equals a heavier board, but also less solid because the fiberglass becomes brittle.
Construction Paulownia Eco Wood Concept
A new construction in epoxy sandwich and paulownia wood (very light and resistant) which allows to rigidify the board and to guarantee a better durability of the materials.
Paulownia wood, also known as "aluminum wood", does not absorb water due to its low moisture content, is very dense and allows for a waterproof lamination under the epoxy glaze. Our paulownia surfboards are much stronger than conventional epoxy surfboards.
Paulownia wood also has ecological properties, growing at a much faster rate than the wood usually processed in factories (about 2 cm per day) and absorbing 10 times more CO2 than others. The renewal of the paulownia forest is extremely fast, and encouraging the exploitation of this tree will accentuate its plantation and its expansion on the territory, which will allow a more important absorption of CO2 in the long term.
