About the EGG 7'0 Prism Surfboards
The Egg 7'0 has a generous rocker, a shape that makes it maneuverable and highly responsive in hollow waves. With more volume than a shortboard, it's more comfortable to paddle and ride. From big waves to small, the Prism Surfboards egg 7'0 surfboard is responsive and responsive to maneuver. The Egg 7'0 is a board that can be ridden without stalling.
For whom is the EGG 7'0 Prism suitable?
Suitable for almost everyone, this model is highly versatile. With its comfortable volume (45.5 L) and good stability, this board's shape is just as well suited to a surfer in "evolution" mode in small or medium waves, as it is to a confirmed surfer or even an expert in big waves. At ease in hollow waves, even for a large rider, it's very maneuverable thanks to its rounded tail and "laid-back" rails, and reacts instantly.
Our planks are laminated to rigorous specifications to ensure greater strength with less weight:
- Air-conditioned lamination rooms guarantee ideal humidity levels, for perfect drying (greater strength with equal lamination).
- Vacuum lamination with excess resin drain: the fiberglass needs just the right amount of resin for impregnation. Vacuum lamination allows the resin to be drawn into the fiber, while the excess is evacuated via the drain. Because too much resin equals a heavier board, but above all one that's less solid because the fiberglass becomes brittle.
Construction Paulownia Eco Wood Concept
A new sandwich construction of epoxy and paulownia wood (very light and resistant) which stiffens the board and guarantees greater material durability.Â
Paulownia wood, also known as "aluminum wood", doesn't absorb water due to its low moisture content, is very dense and provides a watertight lamination under the epoxy glaze. Our paulownia surfboards are much stronger than conventional epoxy surfboards.
Paulownia wood also has ecological properties: it grows at a much faster rate than wood normally processed in factories (around 2 cm per day) and absorbs 10 times more CO2 than other types of wood. The paulownia forest renews itself extremely rapidly, and encouraging the exploitation of this tree will accentuate its plantation and expansion on the territory, allowing a greater absorption of CO2 in the long term.
